What We Preach
The Truths that guide our lives. It is not enough to have the right beliefs, you need to preach them and live them consistently.
The Bible is our Final Authority
"The whole Bible is given to us by inspiration of God and is useful to teach us the truth, to help us understand the faults of this world and to guide us to righteous living." ( 2 Timothy 3:16 )Since God's Word is the final authority that can be trusted, we accept the Bible as our manual for living. "We are a Bible-based church."Our first question when faced with a decision is, "What does the Bible say about this?" We encourage daily Bible reading, Bible study, and Bible memorization. The Bible is the foundation of everything we preach.
Jesus Christ is the Head of the Church
"...Christ is the head of the body, the church. He who is the beginning was raised first, so that in everything he might have the first place." (Colossians 1:18) Jesus Christ is the formal head of the church and not any person, group, or religious organization; while we recognize the value of partnering and cooperating with other Christians, we believe that each local church should be self-supporting and self-governing.
A Chosen People
"...and has made us kings and priests to his God and Father." (Revelation 1:6) "But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God's special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light." (1 Peter 2:9) The Bible teaches us that every believer is called to Christian service. Every believer has direct access to God through prayer and Bible reading. We practice the truth that every believer is a minister (servant) by urging our members to find a place of service in the church.
The Guidance of the Holy Spirit
"For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God." (Romans 8:14) The sinner to be saved needs to be moved by the Holy Spirit and once saved needs to be strengthened and guided by the Spirit to be able to live according to the biblical demand. (Acts 1:8, Ephesians 5:18).
Bearing Witness to Jesus Christ to Others
"...And always be ready to give an answer to everyone who asks you a reason for the hope that is in you, with gentleness and respect." ( 1 Peter 3:15) It is the duty and privilege of Christians to share the good news with those people with whom God allows us to be in contact daily.
